It has been a while…

I have been working on a few things.

20 items/weapons done for Dungeon of Windaria.   About 300 lines of editing for okeari chibi robo (which is for me an achievement as I find editing that boring to the point of putting me to sleep within 5 minutes).   Half the prologue for date ni game edited in.  Testing and more testing and yet more testing for shiren the wanderer 4 (ds and psp).    The psp  version takes full width text but not ascii due to the compression it uses.  The ds version I have been fiddling with that font over and over as it unfortunately has to have a font edit.  Dramtatic dungeon sakura taisen… I have been redumping then doing a slightly better job translating then editing that stuff back in.  I have no idea what to put as to the progress for all of these.  Zoids battle coloseum I translated about 80 lines of text.  Which I have yet to insert.  Itadaki street ds – well aside from trying some awkward graphic inserts  there is no progress.  considering a much needed asm hack for this and or just posting what has been done and leaving it gasp “incomplete”.    sigh.   The elminage 2 projects psp and nds are stalled right now.  their is a limitation on both of these games as to what I can insert.  The psp especially as memory tracking on it has proven too time consuming.  Where as on the ds version it is a matter of just dealing with the limits for the text.  Which leaves things short formed and or very confusing.  Which by and by was how it seems to have been intended.   It is only due to my dyslexia/other learning disabilities that I am aware of the leaps to certain conclusions the programmers/writers were making.   I have had to always go back and check my work to make sure that I do not do exactly that.  just make a conclusion without explaining myself.   So it was interesting to find it in a game.  alas there is no space to explain what needs to in game.  Which again leaves me with the urge to post what work I have done drop them as a project and move on.

That leaves the android translation of a megames game twilight labyrinth.   its just an alice in wonderland roguelike.  I have dumped the images and am still in the process of dumping the text.  The text needs to be converted due to its encoding.  I have already tested and know that ascii can be used in game.

I am roguelike fan.  If you know of any short android roguelikes out there that could use a translation let me know.

 

As to my life… last week was one of those weeks where I questioned everything going on and wondered “why am I doing this?  Why am I putting up with being treated this way?”

I took a long look at zoids re-dumped all of its graphics – decided that a complete makeover wasn’t completely out of the question.

did some a tiny bit of  translation-ary stuff on zoids and on dungeon of windaria.   Windaria is also one of those games I would like to do a complete makeover of (graphic wise).   If you don’t know why my attitude has changed to doing complete graphic reworks than you obviously haven’t read my last post closely enough, or you just don’t understand it.

Life wise my regular job took me back into the realm of spore.  Yes mushrooms growing off of twice spoiled dairy products.  the dairy turned into cheese the cheese then liquified partially and that liquid was a base for mushrooms.  Its been two days and I still have a headache and a rash from where this liquid touched me.   If the health inspector had done their job properly the store would have been shut down and the entire dairy fridge closed until it was determined that the spore had been removed.   I am actually quite ashamed I didn’t catch it myself earlier.  From this point on I will not take the words of my coworkers as to if they have gone through the spoiled or damaged products.  (A skid of dairy crates filled with – nastiness left in the corner slowly growing…).

At least now I know why I kept getting a headache every time I went in to work and why it would disappear after five minutes of not being in that fridge.   I have shortlisted crates that need to get out.  I personally tossed 7 crates full of spore.   I kept cleaning the floor of this room thinking a rat had died somewhere that I just couldn’t find.   It then it turns out to be this.   Yeesh.

Okay back to the reason I started this blog.   Now to disappoint you I may need to drop Itadaki street ds for odd reasons.  As a few have pointed out there is a wii version out and the wii u may or may not be able to play it.  That isn’t one of the reasons.  the odd reasons I will keep to myself until canada’s new copyright officially has a launch date.   Even then – sigh…

My other projects should still be on.

yep yesterday kinda confirmed it… I need to find a different job.  cold all the time… My body hurts all the time.  Either the cold or overworking my muscles.  Anyways I am in good shape but in constant pain.  If I wanted this level of constant pain I would just succumb to 20 years of doctors advice and go for the surgeries/treatments they are recommending… sigh.  oh the word for it is Pushing…

Off to broaden my work search to all of canada and maybe worldwide…

hack wise- uh had to redump the images for Fujimori Midori No Let’s Tarot.  Upload all the text files and those images to some form of service.

I finally dumped shiren 4’s common.bin file successfully.  All those control codes were driving me nuts… (still are).  I keep forgetting to put up a project page for it… but then I do need to fix that font(still).  I have yet to finish putting the text from common.bin into a spreadsheet (near 3500 pointers…blah in just one file).

I also have been so very slowly translating the left over stuff from dungeon of windaria.  The story is a little bit beyond my capabilities   There are a few other things translation wise that just make me go Huh?

a little work on zoids battle coloseum, a bit on dramatic dungeon sakura taisen, a quick review of what I need to do for itadaki and date ni game…

otherwise its just my android app translation stuff that I have sworn not to go into on this blog…  (so much easier than nds stuff)

set up the needed stuff for a date ni game project page.  Didn’t post it.  left off at mm in dte mte-ing shiren 4 ds’ font.  Its more like its done graphically just editing the actual font table in the game.   I have tested it and I know it works.  Which makes me happy.  This just means that a complete translation will have to be done as with the dte most of the unicode japanese becomes letter pairs or a blocked square (as in unknown character).

this font and the other files associated with it will work for shiren 5 as well.

this also paves the way for itadaki street- actually finishing off dte-mte-ing its font.

Just no time for all this.  I was so tired yesterday after working six days straight I don’ t have energy to do much of anything.  okay off to work on digimon story lost evolution.  I have got to get this out of the way today…
